Based on the apparently wildly popular card game and television show, Bakugan: Battle Brawlers is a video game which requiries skill, strategy and imagination.
Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh and card collecting/swapping fans will no doubt be au fait already with Bakugan, but if you have never heard of it, you will find it complicated and ultimately boring.
In brief, all that happens is you collect cards to build up to a showdown between two Bakugan, and then one just runs into the other and it is all over before you can say Pikachu.
If you are a young boy aged under 12 then it will quite possibly be right up your street as you join Dan in battle to save Vestroia and Earth from the ultimate evil.
There are eight worlds with over 20 levels,17 Brawlers to choose from, and more than 35 Bakugan to collect.
But any praise is overshadowed by poor gameplay, lousy graphics and a cheesy storyline. Lorraine Behrens
