A Dales High Way is a new long-distance walk covering 90 miles from Saltaire in West Yorkshire to Appleby-in-Westmorland in Cumbria.
Tony and Chris Grogan wrote the book to accompany the Route Guide they published in 2008.
Chris says "It's the book you read in the pub after a long day's walking."
The book includes a detailed description of the route while exploring the geology, history, culture and wildlife of the places visited.
Readers can find rock art carved by Stone Age ancestors, an early purple orchid and the best preserved medieval castle in England.
A Dales High Way Companion s available from Reids Bookshop in Cavendish Street, Keighley, or the website www.daleshighway.org.uk.
The price is £9.99 plus £1 postage and packing.
