What always made the Tony Hawk games fun was you didn't have to know about skateboarding or have any skill. All you had to do was button-bash.
Now you can't do that. You have to stand on a special skateboard in your living room and actually "skate".
It's amusing for about half an hour, but then the frustration sets in.
To be honest if I wanted to skateboard realistically I'd buy a skateboard and go to the park. It would be much cheaper and more fun.
What Activision Have have done is completely change the type of game that Tony Hawk used to be.
It would be okay if you could use a normal controller as well as the board, but you can't.
You have to stand about looking stupid and falling into things while trying to do stupid tricks. Bring back Pro-Skater, bring back Underground, bring back Tony Hawk.
