Silsden historians want help to put names to the faces of these two First World War soldiers from the town.
The duo – one a young recruit seen with possibly his wife or sweetheart, and the other an officer – were snapped by local photographer of the time John Willy Smith.
The photos were given to Silsden Local History Group in response to an appeal for memorabilia for an exhibition being staged next year to mark the centenary of the start of the Great War.
Project co-ordinator Cathy Liddle said: “We would love to put names to these faces – perhaps someone might recognise a grandad or great uncle.
“We would be really grateful to hear from anyone who could help.”
