A new director of operations has been appointed to oversee the day-to-day running of Airedale Hospital.
Stacey Hunter has replaced Christine Miles, who left Airedale NHS Foundation Trust to take a career break.
She will work closely with clinical directors, general managers and matrons across a broad range of hospital departments.
Previously, Stacey was divisional general manager for the Leeds Children’s Hospital and the women’s head, neck and dental division at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
She qualified as a nurse in 1990, taking a degree in health care studies at the University of Huddersfield.
She had a variety of nursing and senior nurse roles before moving into management, and was an elected non-executive board member for the Royal College of Nurses between 2003 and 2011.
Stacey said: “I’m delighted to have been given the opportunity to join the team at Airedale, and I’m looking forward to working on behalf of the patients and families that depend upon our services.
“Airedale has a reputation for delivering high quality personalised care and being at the forefront of innovation in the NHS. This, combined with my experience to date, makes the role a challenging but exciting proposition.”
