An Ingrow father organised a walk up the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for the centre that supports his autistic son.
Alan Higgins wanted to thank Airedale Hospital’s child development centre for its help during the past two years.
Mr Higgins, of Queens Road, and 15 of his friends raised £3,030 through sponsorship on their recent climb up Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
His son, Oliver, now four, was diagnosed with autism two years ago, and has since received ongoing support from centre staff.
Mr Higgins said: “They helped us with many things, such as pointing us in the right direction for funding for equipment and giving him time to play with other kids.”
Five of the walkers completed the 24-mile route in eight-and-a-half hours, and it was finished within 12 hours.
Mr Higgins has presented the money to the centre, where it will go towards the cost of buying a new computer.
