Cyclists will ride the local section of next year’s Tour de France route this weekend – raising money for Sue Ryder.
The Ride le Route will take in the 40-mile Bradford-district section to be covered by the world-famous race when it comes to this region.
Included are Silsden, Steeton, Keighley, Oxenhope, Haworth and Stanbury.
Sunday’s venture starts and finishes at a Sky Ride event in Bradford.
Participants will set off between 9.30am and 10.15am, and everyone will receive a medal and goody bag at the finish. Registration for the event – which is being staged in partnership with British Cycling, Bradford Council and Sky Ride Bradford – costs £15.
Carly Brunskill, regional fundraiser at Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands, said: “This is a great opportunity to get involved with a large cycling event and experience part of the 2014 Tour de France route, while supporting Sue Ryder.
“We hope our supporters will come on board to take part in this new and exciting venture.”
