People are being urged to take part in one of the world’s most famous marathons – and raise money for Manorlands at the same time.
Sue Ryder, which operates the Oxenhope hospice, has a limited number of places available in the November 3 New York event.
Among those who have already signed up to run for the Sue Ryder team is Hattie Roche.
She said: “I’m feeling excited and terrified at the same time, but I’m most looking forward to the atmosphere. I’ll be using the sights to get me through the 26 miles.”
Hayley Ibbotson, regional fundraiser at Manorlands, said: “The New York Marathon is a fantastic opportunity for people who want to take part in a challenge of a lifetime. Events like this are crucial to our survival.”
