Young people from South Craven are being invited to take advantage of a £1 bus fare that will take them into the Yorkshire Dales this summer.
Dales Integrated Transport Alliance (DITA) is hoping for record numbers of under-19s using the service.
The £1 fare is available on all buses operating in the Dales until September 1.
DITA started the ‘One Way £1’ initiative in October 2012, following concerns that varying and high fares put barriers up for young people wanting to access social opportunities, part-time work and educational activities outside normal school hours.
The increase in young people as users of bus services since October 2012 has been more than 50 per cent on average.
The scheme is available after 5pm on weekdays, and at any time during weekends and the school holidays.
