Enthused by a performance of Shakespeare’s The Tempest at St George’s Hall in Bradford, youngsters at Bradleys Both Primary School decided they would have a go at the The Bard themselves.
And the result was there for all to see in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, staged by children in years five and six at the school. Evan Turner, Alfie Farnell, India Wells and Sarah Doyle are pictured above during dress rehearsals.
Teaching assistant, Sophie Exley, said: “It was a version adapted for young people with songs and some Shakespearean language.”
And class teacher, Lee Baker, added: “Every child in the two classes – 35 in all – had a role to play and all were costumed.
“They’ve loved it.”
