An outline plan to build a detached house next to a Cononley poultry farm has been dismissed.
Dennis Smith’s appeal against the refusal of permission to build a dwelling next to Highgate Poultry Farm in Windle Lane was dismissed by planning inspector DJ Barnes. He ruled the proposed development would fail to preserve the character or appearance of Cononley Conservation Area. He also stated the plan would be contrary to historic environment policies aimed at maintaining or enhancing the landscape character of the countryside.
