About 50 people attended a workshop staged to get people involved in preparations for next year’s Tour de France.
The gathering discussed ways in which people could plan for the event – which comes through Keighley district on July 6 – and maximise opportunities.
“It went very well and was extremely useful,” said Tom Jones, an assistant transport planner with Bradford Council.
“It gave people from along the proposed route and others in the district an opportunity to meet and share ideas.
“A lot of suggestions came out of it, such as the need for a joint approach to communications and that there should be visible signs of the event, such as banners and window displays. A report will now be drawn-up and circulated.”
Monday’s workshop in Bradford was organised by district cycle forum B-Spoke, with support from the council.
