I have read in the papers the government is complaining about the threat of strike action by the unions.
It claims the strike will cause inconvenience to the public. Of course it will, for it is working class people that keep things moving.
But it is all right for the government to inconvenience the public (and this includes working class people) by freezing and cutting wages, closing schools, hospitals, libraries, selling off utility companies (gas, water, electricity), coal mines (what’s left of them), the shipyards, dockyards, car industries – all gone. They are now owned by foreign businessmen.
There have also been the closure of town halls, post offices and cutbacks on fire stations (no inconvenience) and the police.
So, it is all right for the government to cause inconvenience to the public (and workers) but it is not all right for the people to cause the government any inconvenience.
I say it is high time the people caused the government some inconvenience. Like Cameron said, in it together.
