Extra places will be created at Culling-worth Village Primary School as part of plans to meet a population “bulge”.
The school will have 105 more places, making it two-form entry, by September next year.
Bradford Council has also been given the go-ahead to open a new 1,050-place secondary school in the ‘BD4’ district, as part of a £820 million government cash injection.
In total, Bradford district was awarded £15.86 million for extra school places, short of its bid for £21 million.
But Coun Ralph Berry, Bradford’s executive member for education, said: “I’m pleased with the announcement, because this is the essential investment we needed.”
Schools minister, David Laws, said: “We are determined every pupil should not just have a place, but that the growth in the system is concentrated in schools parents and pupils really want to go to.”
