Oakworth Juniors Football Club is staging its annual open day.
The September 1 event – at the Bronte playing fields, from 10am – features matches for all age groups, and culminates with the Sue Hewitt Memorial Trophy game, in aid of Manorlands, contested between club coaches and the fire service.
There will also be a balloon release, sponsored by Helium of Keighley, with proceeds for the Oxenhope hospice. Tickets can be bought in advance, priced £1.50, from club secretary Richard Hewitt on 07843 560119 or any of the coaches. There will be a prize for the buyer of the balloon that travels the furthest and the finder.
Other attractions will include a barbecue, bar, face painting, raffle, a cakes and sweet stall, bouncy castle, zumba and a penalty shoot-out.
Hayley Ibbotson, Sue Ryder regional fundraiser based at Manorlands, said: “We are very grateful to have the support of the players, parents and coaches at Oakworth Juniors by being chosen to benefit from their annual open day. The event is always a great family day out.”
