A Keighley student is tackling the Amsterdam Marathon to raise money for a cancer charity.
Carly Robertson, 20, hopes to raise £1,000 for the Association for International Cancer Research (AICR) in the October 20 run.
The former Oakbank School pupil, now studying criminology at Durham University, is a keen runner and member of Bingley Harriers.
She has run at county level in cross-country and track events, but this will be her first attempt at a marathon.
“I’m more of a middle distance runner so this will be quite a big challenge,” said Carly, who lives in the Fell Lane area.
“We were approached at university about running for AICR and I wanted to challenge myself.
“I’ve raised about £900 so far, which is great.”
