An Oxenhope pupil is celebrating the news his impressive A-level haul has gained him a place at Oxford University.
Bradford Grammar School pupil Richard Baugh got an A* in Biology and As in Maths and Chemistry, ensuring his place at the prestigious university to study biochemistry.
He said: “I needed to get an A* in at least one subject.
“It is very, very stressful – I didn’t think I’d done well in the maths exam. It was incredibly hard.
“It is a long wait after the exams until you get the results.”
He hopes to move into the field of cancer research after he leaves university.
