VIP guests at a Keighley wedding included a former prime minister of Azad Kashmir.
Sultan Mahmood Choudhry was among about 4,000 people who attended the wedding of Rohail and Rina Iqbal.
The young couple, who live in Showfield, welcomed relatives and family friends from as far afield as Halifax, Birmingham and Luton.
Rohail’s proud father, Choudhry Liaquat Ali, said the wedding on August 18 at Victoria Hall was one of the biggest ever in the town.
He added: “It was very good wedding and a very fine day, everyone enjoyed it. It lasted all day.”
Also among guests was Shazad Saleem, who is the 23-times UK champion at baggudar stone-lifting. Entertainment was provided by leading Asian singer Nafeez.
Mr Ali, who moved to Keighley when he was seven, said 20-year old Rohail and 18-year-old Rina both attended University Academy Keighley.
Mr Ali, who runs hackney carriages in Bradford, said he had family links with Mr Choudhry. He added: “He came from Islamabad to Keighley specially for the wedding.”
Sultan Mahmood Choudhry was Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, a region in Pakistan, for five years from 1996.
