A voluntary sector boss has spoken of her pride at her centre hosting Keighley Beer Festival for the second time.
The Campaign for Real Ale last year moved its beer festival into the town centre after many years at Victoria Hall.
The move to Central Hall, run by Keighley and Ilkley Voluntary and Community Action (KIVCA), aimed to boost visitor numbers.
KIVCA chief officer Caroline Schwaller said the move proved successful and the beer enthusiasts rebooked for September 26-28.
She added: “Why they liked it was a lot to do with the position of our building in Alice Street.
“Once people got inside the building, they liked the feeling of it and the ‘wow’ factor. They said we were warm and welcoming.”
Caroline said the first beer festival was also the first test of KIVCA’s ability to host a major event at Central Hall The Alice Street building reopened as a community centre in 2011 after a £1.8 million renovation funded by Bradford Council and the European Union.
