Octogenarian paper boy Keith Anderson is calling it a day after delivering the Keighley News for many years.
Great-grandad Keith, who will be 81 later this year, has been part of the KN’s direct delivery team since 2007.
And before that he distributed papers for the former newsagents and post office at Oakworth.
Keith, who lives at Bronte Drive in the village, said: “I’ve loved doing it and I consider all the people on my round as friends, but I’m struggling a bit now.
“I had a knee operation two years ago and it didn’t go as it should have done.
“My wife, Doreen, has been helping me out with the deliveries.”
Keith, a retired office manager, finishes on September 5.
Tribute has been paid by KN newspaper sales manager Robert Drummond.
“We greatly appreciate Keith’s tremendous commitment over the years, delivering papers in all weathers,” he said.
“We wish him all the very best as he takes a well-earned rest!”
Mr Drummond said customers would continue to receive their papers and would be introduced to the new delivery person soon.
“Meantime, if people have any queries regarding deliveries, they can call 0800 1381420,” he added.
