A sheep-breeding newcomer from Silsden paid the top price for a pen of mules at a leading show.
Claire O’Neill bought the sheep – her first – for £210 per head at Skipton Auction Mart’s annual show and sale of gimmer shearlings.
The 42-year-old, a project manager for Skipton Building Society, recently took over Jacobs Wood Farm in Silsden.
She already has a small herd of Belted Galloway cattle.
