A 41-year-old woman accused of threatening to hack her half-sister to death has been sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for 12 months.
Suzanne Jaggers, of Rosemount Court in Sutton, who was found guilty of harassment at an earlier hearing that she failed to attend, was also made the subject of a restraining order preventing her approaching Helen Marshall, her husband and children, by any means.
Jaggers was also ordered by Skipton magistrates not to approach the Marshalls’ home in Lothersdale by a distance of half a mile. She was also ordered to pay £300 court costs.
The Bench heard Jaggers had subjected her half-sister to a tirade of threatening telephone calls between June 12 and August 11 last year.
