Young people are searching for answers; where are they finding them? In ouija boards, ghost hunting programmes, and the most popular books recently – Harry Potter. All supernatural.
Why has the supernatural reality of the church been about for so long. It was there at Pentecost, it is always a part of service.
Mark 16 v 20. “And the disciples went everywhere preaching, and the Lord was with them (supernatural) and confirmed what they said by miracles that followed their messages (supernatural). A hymn, sermon, prayer by the minister alone and a cup of tea and chat, is unlikely to attract the young people of today. Churches that allow the Holy Spirit (supernatural) to have free will in the service and preach the Gospel are growing. The gifts of the Spirit should be evident in our services!
There is evidence of God moving in the church in Keighley. KCT monthly prayer meetings are a prime example. Spirit-filled prayer with no denominational barriers holding God back.
There are supernatural healings taking place at the Healing of the Streets and also in The Healing Rooms.
Remember we must worship God in spirit and in truth.
God is spirit. Jesus now has a supernatural body. (After his resurrection he entered a locked and bolted room and met with his disciples).
The Holy Spirit is Spirit. Are we willing to throw off our earthly garments and put on our Spiritual garments that once again Jesus will be glorified in our town and the Church will once again attract the lost, that they might be saved?
