Stories of people who acted selflessly to help others will be dramatised this autumn at Keighley Shared Church.
Leading Christian theatre group Riding Lights will take audiences through history during its play, A Different Drum, on October 30.
The show begins in the 17th century in the Derbyshire village of Eyam, where the plague arrived in the blood of a flea.
Residents decided to close the village and sacrifice themselves to save neighbouring communities from the disease. A Riding Lights spokesman described A Different Drum as an inspiring and thought-provoking show, with stirring music and powerful storytelling.
A Different Drum is suitable for anyone aged over 11, and more details are available from the ridinglights.org website. Tickets cost £10 from the Rev Peter Mott via peter.mott@chipmail.co.uk or on 01535 601499.
