Keighley Show is poised to blossom.
The Flower Academy is among the attractions at this year’s extravaganza.
And people are being urged to display their blooms or enter the horticulture section’s fruit or vegetable classes.
“We’ve had a much better summer than last year so why not take a good look round the garden and consider entering something?” said a show spokesman.
“If you feel you are not an experienced grower or exhibitor, you could enter our novice sections. Exhibits are not judged to national standards and entries can be made up to 9am on show day. Stewards will be available to help you stage your exhibits.”
There is also a flower arrangement section, which this year is on the theme of precious jewels, and children’s classes.
The show – the 56th – takes place on September 7 at Marley playing fields.
Visit keighleyshow.co.uk or call 01535 633852 for further information about the full range of sections.
Cut-price tickets – at £6 for adults, £3 concessions – are available online until Saturday, or can be obtained until September 6 from Keighley Civic Centre in North Street or the photo services counter at the town’s Sainsbury’s store.
Admission on the day will be £7 for adults and £4 for concessions.
