A village group planning a Hallowe’en event is seeking fresh ideas.
Friends of Holden Park at Oakworth is appealing for input from villagers in preparation for the spooky gathering.
The group had staged a Hallowe’en event in the park for years, but last year’s was cancelled due to a lack of volunteer helpers.
“This traditionally has been one of our flagship events enjoyed by a broad cross-section of the community,” said Friends chairman Jackie McGinnis.
“Previous events have taken the form of decorating and lighting the park and caves, activities such as apple bobbing, food and drink stalls and, of course, scary fancy dress.”
