Keighley Picture House could screen cycling-related movies in the run-up to the Tour de France coming through town.
A group working on Keighley’s involvement in the race has begun discussions with the North Street cinema about a special film season.
Cycling enthusiast Frank O’Dwyer, the group’s chairman, suggests films such as Breaking Away – regarded as one of the best-ever sports movies – should be screened.
The Keighley News last week told how the group – which draws on cycle club members, council officers and a Manorlands rep – would meet regularly to discuss Tour de France activities.
Mr O’Dwyer has approached Keighley army cadet bosses about selling souvenir programmes on race day.
He said the group is also hoping to organise activities in locations such as the Town Hall Square for crowds waiting for riders to pass by.
Anyone wishing to join Mr O’Dwyer’s group can contact him on 01535 600905.
