A team of walkers put their best feet forward for Manorlands.

Colleagues from environmental services company Comply Direct tackled a gruelling 28-mile route, as part of the Yorkshire Dales Jane Tomlinson Walk for All festival. They have so far raised nearly £2,000 for the hospice, with donations still coming in.

Comply Direct chose to support Manorlands in tribute to the care received there by the late father of the firm’s head of sales and operations, Jess Aldersley.

She said: “I feel very proud of the whole team, and am delighted with the amount raised for a cause that is very personal to me. I want to say a massive thanks to all my team mates, who put themselves out in such a spectacular way.”

Her dad, Howard Tennant, spent his final days at the hospice before he died last year.

Jess was joined on the walk by workmates Abigail Gains, Melanie Tomkins, Hanna Jones and Gareth Wells, plus Sarah Barraclough. They completed the challenge in under 11 hours.

Donations can still be made via the justgiving.com/Comply-Direct web page.
