Sunday: Oxenhope Methodist Church has a service at 10.30am.

There is an aerobics fitness class with Sam Reeday at 9.30am at Oxenhope Community Centre.

Monday: West Drive Methodist Church, 8pm for prayer, a space to relax and be calm, all welcome.

Elderly Day Care, at West Drive Methodist Church, meets from 10.30am to 2.45pm.

Yoga is held from 6.30pm to 7.30pm at West Drive Methodist Church.

Oxnop Singers meet from 8pm at the Community Centre.

Tuesday: Worth Valley Contact Point, Changegate, Haworth, is open from noon to 4pm.

Karate Club, at the Community Centre, is held from 7.30pm.

Following the closure of the Oxenhope Post Office and the recent opening of the new Oxenhope Pharmacy, the Rotary Club of Haworth & Worth Valley have agreed with the pharmacy to site a Vision Aid Overseas collection box for used spectacles in their shop at 36 Station Road. Vision Aid Overseas is a charity that sets up dispensaries, training services and screens patients in some of the of the poorest communities in Africa and India with the intention of providing spectacles to those in need.

Haworth & Oxenhope District Bridleways Group’s final dressage competition is on Sunday, September 8, at Lilyhall Livery Stables, Haworth, and an organised ride on Sunday 29 September. Meetings are held at the Old White Lion, Haworth, at 8pm, preceded by a junior meeting at 6.45pm. Call Gill Burgess on (01535) 644347.

The next St Mary's Church Toddler Praise will be on Saturday, September 21, from 10.15am to 11.15am. Parents, toddlers and preschool children are all welcome.

There will be a Yorkshire Country Women’s meeting on Thursday, September 5, at 7.30pm at the Old Hall in Haworth.

Oxenhope Methodist Women’s Fellowship start their meetings on September 5 with my favourite two subjects - men and the theatre.

These will feature in a talk by Patricia Clough, beginning at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome.
