The organisation behind a new promotional video for the Tour de France’s passage through Yorkshire enjoyed a “brilliant” session of filming in Haworth.
Welcome to Yorkshire filmed along Main Street on August 27, showing off the surroundings while shooting footage of York-based cyclist Ricky Feather.
Andrew Denton, head of media for the Tour de France Grand Depart at Welcome to Yorkshire, said: “The filming in Haworth was great.
“The sun was shining and there were loads of people coming up and asking us what we were doing. They were getting fully behind it all.”
He explained the filming, which shows Mr Feather cycling through some of Yorkshire’s most beautiful and dramatic landscapes, has now been completed and is due to be edited.
The footage will comprise a four-minute promotional film which will be screened at Welcome to Yorkshire’s roadshows.
Mr Denton said the ultimate aim was to give the film additional exposure by making it available for use by businesses and some local authorities.
