An appeal has been lodged against Bradford Council’s rejection of plans for a new house at Oakworth.
Council planning officers refused permission for the development at Abrol Farm in Mill Lane, citing several factors.
They claimed the scheme would affect privacy, lead to the loss of mature trees and create traffic problems in a driveway already serving five properties.
Officers added no flood risk assessment had been provided with the application and, because the site was identified as a spoil heap on historical maps, ground survey information would be needed.
Objectors to the proposals included Keighley Town Council, which recommended refusal.
The appeal is being dealt with through written representations.
Visit the planning section of Bradford Council’s website, bradford.gov.uk, and search under the application number – 13/02114/FUL – for further information.
