A Worth Valley pub is celebrating winning official recognition of its popularity with customers.
The Dog and Gun in Leeming, Oxenhope, has been presented with a 2013 Certificate of Excellence from the travel website TripAdvisor.
This certificate only goes to those businesses consistently achieving ‘outstanding’ traveller reviews on the TripAdvisor website.
The Dog and Gun has been run by husband and wife team, Michael and Kathryn Roper, for the past 19 years.
Mr Roper said: “We’re delighted to win the award. It’s always good to have some sort of recognition for the hard work we put in.
“It’s a cracking place to work, very busy, and with an excellent clientele. We pride ourselves on our customer service and on making sure everyone is well looked after.”
He expressed his thanks to the pub’s staff.
The Ropers, who live on the premises at the junction of Denholme Road and Long Causeway, have previously managed the Royal pub in Crossflatts and the Robin Hood in Silsden.
