The Haworth, Cross Roads & Stanbury Parish Council has made a request to Bradford Council to become a ‘Neighbourhood Area’. This status would mean the parish council – and the parish residents – would have a bigger say on future building and administration of local facilities and places. The parish council needs to produce a Neighbourhood Development Plan. These documents can be viewed at Keighley Library and the Worth Valley Community Contact Point at Changegate, Haworth as there is a consultation period until Monday, September 16. Alternatively, visit bradford.gov.uk/bmdc/Consultations then choose ‘Haworth, Cross Roads & Stanbury Parish Council Neighbourhood Area Application’.

On Saturday, September 21 there will be a charity concert by The Military Wives Choir at Haworth Parish Church. Tickets are available from Nikky Carroll at Firth’s of Haworth, Main Street, contact (01535) 643800. All proceeds will go to for the Help for Heroes charity.

On Saturday Lees Methodist Church will hold a coffee morning from 10-11.30am. This month the theme is ‘Treasures of the Ocean’. On Sunday at 10.30am is our harvest festival, when the service will be conducted by our minister, the Rev Sandie Exley Watts.

All are very welcome to share in thanking God for the wonders of the harvest.
