The St Stephen’s 200 Club winning numbers for August were 1st 188, 2nd 182 and 3rd 200.
Toddler Praise is at 9.30am today at St Stephen’s Church.
St Stephen’s Ladies Fellowship starts its new season on Tuesday at 7.30pm in the small hall with a talk by Bill Kerr on “The Funny Side of House Clearance”. All welcome. Subs are due, at £3.
St Stephen’s Church harvest festival will be celebrated on Sunday, September 15.
The various groups who use Steeton Methodist Church will be back after the summer break from next week.
The Youth Club will meet fortnightly on Tuesdays from 6.15-7.30pm. The next meeting will be on Tuesday and all children from seven years upwards are welcome.
Steeton Over 50s Social Centre will recommence on Wednesday. The group meet in the Methodist Church Hall every Wednesday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm. There are board games, jigsaws, snooker/pool, dominoes etc while some members just enjoy the company and a chat.
The Singing for Pleasure Group meets fortnightly in the foyer at the same time, enjoying a variety of light music. The cost is £1 which includes tea and biscuits. This is a village initiative and new members will be made very welcome.
There will be a coffee morning in aid of the new A&E unit at Airedale Hospital on Saturday, September 14 and the Wednesday Evening Fellowship will start again on Wednesday, September 25 – more details of both next week.
The service next Sunday at 10.30am will be taken by Mr John Hopkinson and there is a Junior Church every week at the same time as the service.
