Haworth Parish Council has objected to plans to build houses on land behind a social club because councillors believe it is allocated for allotments.
Morley’s Broadstone Properties want to build five terraced houses on a field behind Parkside Social Club on Butt Lane. In a planning application to Bradford Council, it points out that in 2010 permission was given to build a single house on the land, but because of buildings costs this house is “unlikely to ever be built.”
But Haworth councillors maintain have objected, saying: “ The council cannot find any record of the status of this land being changed.”
