A team of local cyclists raised around £600 for a brain injury charity by riding 135 miles along the Leeds-Liverpool Canal towpath.
The quartet rode in tribute to Cross Roads horse rider Fiona Rook who is being cared for by the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust.
Fiona has spent the past 18 months battling back from a severe injury sustained in a riding accident.
Fiona’s brother Simon Rook took part in the ride along with friends Victor Blackman and Lee Nelson, both from Haworth.
Another friend David Anderson had to drop out due to illness. Victor’s wife Ruth Blackman paid tribute to Anthony Kennedy, a friend of Simon’s son Sam, who took David’s place.
She said: “The impressive thing was Anthony stepped in with no training. He borrowed a bike with no suspension and got rattled to pieces.”
The riders completed their journey from Liverpool to Leeds in about 11 hours then went out in the city to celebrate.
Mrs Blackman said the proceeds included £100 from an anonymous Keighley person, £100 from a Braithwaite woman, plus money from the Bridleways Association in Haworth.
