Organisers of the Keighley Big Lunch have served up a £600 donation to Manorlands.
The event, held at the Airedale Shopping Centre in June, was a massive success.
“We had a fantastic day – we brought the community together to share lunch while raising much-needed funds for Manorlands,” said Trudy Lund, community life champion at Asda in Keighley.
She co-organised the event with Lauren Towers, from the Keighley branch of the Halifax bank. The lunch itself raised £300, with match funding being provided by the Halifax.
Andrew Wood, Sue Ryder regional fundraiser, thanked the organisers, the Airedale Shopping Centre and volunteers who helped.
“Funds from the Big Lunch will pay for more than 200 high-quality lunches for patients, with the correct nutrients for their condition.”
