Cross Hills Tennis Club has raised over £413 for Manorlands with a tournament in memory of a former member.
The fifth annual “Lyn’s Day” also featured a barbecue lunch followed by cakes, musical entertainment and a raffle, with prizes donated by several local businesses.
The event is in tribute to Lyn Ferguson, who died, aged 37, in early 2009 after a battle against cancer.
She received palliative care at the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
Joel Griffiths, for the club, said: “We would like to thank everyone who supported the event and all the businesses which provided prizes, including High Adventure, which donated 12 taster sessions at its outdoor centre. Lyn had a family connection with the business.”
