Haworth, Cross Roads & Stanbury Parish Council has made a request to Bradford Council to become a ‘Neighbourhood Area’. This status would mean the parish council – and the parish residents – would have a bigger say on future building and administration of local facilities and places. To make this happen the council needs to produce a Neighbourhood Development Plan. This document can be viewed as there is a consultation period until Monday at Keighley Library and the Worth Valley Community Contact Point at Changegate, Haworth. Alternatively, visit bradford.gov.uk/bmdc/Consultations then choose ‘Haworth, Cross Roads & Stanbury Parish Council Neighbourhood Area Application’.

The local cricket season finishes next Saturday when our two local clubs play for the last time this year. Haworth West End 2nd XI are at home to Sandy Lane 2nds, while at Haworth, the 1st XI are at home to Cullingworth – that promises to be a big encounter as it is Cullingworth’s last match in the Craven League before joining the Halifax League next year.

The Worth Valley Horticultural Society’s Late Flower and Vegetable Show will be held on Sunday, September 29 from 2-4.15pm at Haworth Community Centre, Butt Lane, and entries will be taken until 11am on the show day.
