Silsden Amnesty Group will hold its annual coffee morning on Saturday between 9.30am and 11.45am in Silsden Methodist Church. You will be able to find out more about the work of the group and in particular the action they are taking to help Filep Karma, a civil servant who was imprisoned for 15 years after raising a flag in support of Papuan independence. Add your voice to the group’s campaign by signing a card for his release.
Keep active with fun exercise for older people at Hothfield School, Silsden, on Tuesdays from 6.15-7.15pm, £3.50 per week or £15 for five weeks. Call Rhona on (01535) 601605 for more details.
The Friends of Airedale Hospital car boot sales are running twice a month. Held in the west car park they will be held on the first and third Sundays of every month from April to September. Turn up on the day to buy and sell with free parking for shoppers.
An autumn fair/coffee morning takes place on Saturday at 9.30am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Hall, Silsden. There will be a cake stall, tombola, bottles and raffle. A warm welcome awaits everyone. Proceeds to the church building fund.
