Young musicians up to the age of 18 are being encouraged to enter a contest organised by Keighley Rotary Club.
The group is looking for people to take part in its Young Musician Competition, which takes place at 2pm on Saturday October 5 in Keighley Shared Church.
Rotarian Judy Hazlehurst said the event is open to solo instrumentalists and vocalists, adding that the competition is now in its fourth year and includes cash prizes.
“The winner in each age group will be invited to compete in the district final, which will be held in York on March 8 2014,” she added.
The contest features three age groups - 14 and under, 15-16 and 17-18.
For information on how to enter contact Judy on (01535) 603184 or e-mail judy.hazlehurst@keighleyrotary.org. Competition entries must be received by next Tuesday. There is no entrance fee for competitors but there is a £2.50 charge.
