More than a dozen young riders went along to the first Cycle Keighley session last Saturday.
Among the 13 youngsters honing their cycling skills were two who were still riding bikes on stabilisers.
Head coach Richard Taylor said that by the end of the session one of the beginners was riding on only two wheels.
Classes will run every Saturday morning from 9.30am to 11am at University Academy Keighley, on Greenhead Road, for anyone aged five to 16.
The classes are the first phase of the new Cycle Keighley campaign which aims to get people of all ages riding cycles on local roads.
More details of Cycle Keighley activities are available from Richard on 07702 071779.
