Several organisations across the Keighley district are now vying for cash from a building society’s community pot.
Nearly 1,000 groups and schemes applied for funding from the Skipton Building Society Grassroots Giving Campaign.
Hopefuls have been whittled down to a shortlist of about 300 and the public is being asked to vote for its favourite.
Grants of £500 each will go to the top 160.
Aidan Walker, manager of the society’s Keighley branch in Cavendish Street, said: “It’s great that we’ve got groups in our area shortlisted.
“A key focus of our Grassroots Giving Campaign is to raise awareness of – and provide support for – organisations that are going above and beyond to make a difference in their communities.”
Visit skiptonbig160.co.uk for details of all those shortlisted and to vote. The deadline is September 30.
