A service has been held at Keighley New Church in memory of a former minister’s wife.
Pamela Rusell-Lacey, known as Pam, died in July, aged 84.
She was the wife of the late Rev Peter Rusell-Lacey, minister at New Church between 1963 and 1984, when it was based at its former Devonshire Street site. The church is now in Braithwaite.
The memorial service, led by the Rev Christine Bank, was attended by four of Pam’s children.
Church council member Philip Brooks said: “Pam had a happy, relaxed, optimistic outlook on life and had great strength and fortitude. This saw her through when she became completely blind for a while and suffered a great deal of pain in later life.”
Pam moved away from the area in 2005 to be nearer her son in the West Midlands.
