Manorlands has been given a whopping £10,000 lift.

The Oxenhope hospice has received the bumper cheque from Acorn Stairlifts, at Steeton.

So far this year the company has coined in £10,450 for the Sue Ryder centre.

Staff turned out in force for the Keighley BigK 10k in March and have continued fundraising with a series of dress-down days and a garden party.

“Acorn staff are delighted to support such an excellent local charity,” said company secretary Dave Belmont.

Sue Ryder regional fundraiser Andrew Wood said: “We owe a massive thank you to our friends at Acorn for raising so much money. It will make such a difference to the care we can provide for people, both in the hospice and out in the community for those who choose to be cared for at home.”
