A group of walkers has completed the gruelling Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for Manorlands.

The quintet – Julie Hollingsworth, Andrew Busfield, Angela Harwood, Jackie Bailey and Caroline Henry, pictured right, – coined in over £1,000 for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.

They covered the route, which takes in Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, in 10 hours 13 minutes. Most of the group, through their families, are aware of someone who has experienced the care provided at Manorlands.

Julie said: “Manorlands is such an amazing hospice – the care, staff and facilities are second to none.

“We all agreed on it straightaway as our chosen charity and we are thrilled with the amount raised.

“The walk was hard work, but the five of us worked together to complete it.”
