The coffee morning held at Steeton Methodist Church on Saturday raised the magnificent sum of £535 for Airedale Hospital’s new A&E department. Sincere thanks to everyone who contributed in any way.
The Methodist Church will be holding its harvest festival on Sunday at 10.30am when the service will be taken by the Rev Alan Raine. Everyone welcome.
The Wednesday Evening Fellowship at Steeton Methodist Church will start the new season on Wednesday, September 25 at 7.30pm with a talk by Mr Gordon Dean called “Summat and Nowt”. New members will be very welcome.
St Stephen’s Ladies Fellowship enjoyed an entertaining talk on “The Funny Side of House Clearance”.
The church held a harvest supper and ceilidh on Friday evening, which was well attended and much enjoyed. The sum of £314 was raised which will go to Water Aid.
The church was beautifully decorated on Sunday and after the service produce was auctioned, and again all proceeds will go to Water Aid.
