A 48-year-old Keighley man was injured in a three-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a passenger in one of the other cars.

The Keighley motorist, who was slightly hurt, was driving an Audi A4 estate, which was involved in a collision with a VW Passat and a Skoda Fabia.

The accident happened on the A65 near Ingleton at 2pm on September 17.

A 38-year-old Bradford man, a front seat passenger in the Passat, was seriously injured and taken to Royal Preston Infirmary, where he died on Thursday.

At the time of the collision, the Passat was travelling from Settle to Ingleton and the Fabia and Audi were heading in the opposite direction. The Passat driver and two back-seat passengers, both women, suffered slight injuries.

The two people in the Fabia, both aged 56 and from Low Bentham, suffered serious injuries. The driver was taken to the Royal Preston Infirmary and the female passenger went to Leeds General Infirmary.
