News of funding to create two wildlife habitats in Keighley district is welcome indeed.
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust announced this week it will be using the cash to create so-called wet woodlands – important to animals and plants – at Marley and Steeton Ings.
With so much focus nowadays on building developments to meet the district’s desperate need for housing, it is good to know the importance of wildlife is not being overlooked.
This district is fortunate to have small oases of woodland and green spaces, which people can enjoy and where flora and fauna is able to thrive.
