A 44-year-old Oakworth man has been given an interim ban by Skipton magistrates after admitting drink-driving on the A59 at Broughton.
Joseph John Manley was stopped on September 7 in Gargrave by a police officer, who had earlier seen him in Broughton, the court heard on Friday.
A roadside breath test proved positive, and he was taken to Skipton Police Station, where he was found to have 51 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Magistrates imposed a six month interim ban on Manley, of Goose Cote Lane in Oakworth, and adjourned sentencing until October 11.
He denied driving a vehicle without insurance on September 7 at Broughton.
